Fear of the unknown can keep us from changing our lives for the better. We want you to know what to expect when you call us, so you can feel confident about taking this important step.
When you call 800-434-7495, an admissions specialist will help answer any questions you have and schedule you for an initial evaluation. Our goal is to make you feel comfortable with the process and get you engaged in treatment as quickly as possible.
During your follow-up assessment, the licensed counselor will help you decide whether residential or outpatient treatment is needed and what programs will best meet your needs. With your permission and signed consent, they might contact other medical and mental health professionals you've worked with to understand the scope of your needs. They may also call family members who can provide context and background information about your situation.* *We never speak with anyone you have not expressly permitted us to contact.
As part of your assessment, your insurance coverage will be reviewed. The Addiction Alliance of Georgia is an in-network provider with most insurance companies and we will work to obtain prior authorization for services, if needed.
If you decide that you could benefit from treatment, our Patient Care Coordinator will schedule your start date:
- If you are starting outpatient treatment, you will also complete your intake paperwork with an admissions specialist on site.
If we recommend you for mental health services, you’ll get an individualized treatment plan, which, depending on your situation, may include:
- A comprehensive behavioral assessment
- Adolescent screening and early intervention services
- Group therapy
- Individual therapy
- Medication coordination
- Referrals to resources for education and support
